I don’t normally photograph family photos. As my photography business grows, I have been forced to niche down and I enjoy focusing on weddings and high school senior pictures. However, I occasionally make exceptions, especially in the off season. Jaylene reached out to me in 2020 about photographing her upcoming wedding. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she and her partner Peter have put off their wedding. They aren’t in any rush, because they already have a beautiful daughter together! Instead of wedding planning, we decided to move forward with spring family photos at Minnesota Landscape Arboretum instead!
May at the MN Landscape Arboretum is simply breathtaking. The Arb is always gorgeous, but the blooming crabapples take it to the next level. I was thrilled to see that the trees were still in full bloom for our session. Paired with the bright, sunny weather, I knew I would love these spring family photos!
Jaylene is an aspiring photographer herself, and I can already tell she will be great. She and Peter were so comfortable and natural in front of the camera. I barely had to do any posing, because they would just fall into the cutest poses. They also knew exactly how to make their daughter smile! I couldn’t help but melt a little behind my camera every time Karissa smiled. She was so adventurous and curious. We all had a blast chasing her around!
Check out the highlights from these gorgeous spring family pictures at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum below! Also, I recommend checking out some senior pictures at the MN Landscape Arboretum for more floral beauty!
Omg this is just so sweet and all the photos make me feel so happy! Forever grateful for your talents, Rachel 🙂
