My favorite thing about being a wedding photographer in the Twin Cities is that I get to photograph couples getting married in rain, snow, sun and everything in between! I have captured weddings in churches, parks, country clubs, and industrial lofts. I have spent countless weekends witnessing the joy of marriage, so let me guide you through the process and share what I have learned. Whatever your wedding style, I aim to capture your wedding day in its natural, joyful glory!
I believe your wedding day should be about creating amazing memories with your family and friends to commemorate your relationship. A major part of making those memories last is having beautiful images to look back on. My philosophy with weddings is to strike a balance between natural and elevated. I love to just capture the day as it unfolds while also making small tweaks to enhance the look of your photos whenever possible. I do everything I can to ensure you get the best possible images without making your wedding an all-day a photoshoot. Ultimately, the most important thing is enjoying your special day with your partner, your friends, and your families.
A large part of my wedding photography philosophy comes from losing my sister in October of 2021. My sister, Lauren, passed away tragically and unexpectedly one month after my other sister, Kate’s wedding. That wedding day was the last time my family was all together. Therefore, every single image we have of her from that day is sacred, as are the memories from that day. While I love the beautiful posed family photos, every little candid moment is also precious to us. This experience had a profound effect on me as a wedding photographer, and it guides me as I capture your unique day and the important people who are a part of it.

A:I describe my photography style as bright, natural, and joyful. Instead of using trendy, muted editing, I lean towards capturing your day as it was and simply enhancing the natural look of the photos. I will always maintain natural skin tones and pose couples in natural ways. This does NOT mean you need to come to your engagement session as models! I will tell you exactly what to do and how to pose, so you get a healthy combination of classic, frame-worthy photos and joyful, candid captures.

A: The ideal RGP couple is fun-loving and upbeat. They understand the importance of their wedding vows and enjoy planning their big day. They put thought into the planning and details, but don’t get hung up on the small stuff. They prioritize time for photos on their wedding day, but they balance this with living in the moment and taking in the magnitude of the meaning of the day!
I have been shooting weddings since 2015, and I take about 15 weddings per year. This allows me to gain plenty of experience and feel comfortable capturing couples’ most important days while also allowing me the time to provide my couples with a great experience.
