In-Home Newborn Session | Baby Hank

The Johnson family’s home was absolutely perfect for an in-home newborn session! Jill and Todd welcomed the cutest baby boy, Hank, to the world this summer. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a newborn with a better head of hair! Seriously, WHAT A CUTIE!

I was so excited when Jill asked me to do newborn photos for them! She booked me way back in the early days of her pregnancy, and I was counting down ever since! Jill and I have known each other since high school. We were in the same choir and had a few classes together throughout our time at Eagan High School. Then, we both ended up at Iowa State University for college and even joined the same sorority! Gamma Phi Beta, represent 🙂

I also worked with Jill and Todd this winter for another in-home session. They hired me to do a shoot to promote Todd’s business, Holly Home Renovations. He specializes in restoring historic homes, and their own house in St. Paul is a work of art! Therefore, I knew Jill and Todd would create a wonderful nursery for their baby boy, and I was certain their house would work well for an in-home newborn session. You can check out the amazing story of their own home restoration and learn why their flip was featured in the newspaper HERE.

Hank’s newborn session was so easy for me, because his nursery had amazing light and he was such an easy-going baby! Parents: take note. If you want to do an in-home session, white walls are PERFECT and a room with large windows is a must! Luckily, Hank’s nursery had both! I seriously love this little family and I especially love how their newborn photos turned out! Check out some of my favorites from baby Hank’s in-home newborn session below.
