Brackett’s Crossing Wedding | Sara & Jake

Weddings

September 22, 2021

I am so thrilled to share yet another beautiful Brackett’s Crossing wedding on the blog today! I always love offering wedding photography at Brackett’s, and it has such a special place in my heart. The staff there is simply the best, and it is such a beautiful wedding venue. Therefore, I love getting to photograph other weddings there when I have the opportunity!

Sara and Jake marked the second wedding I photographed at Brackett’s Crossing Country Club in 2021. I photographed Abi and Ryan’s Brackett’s Crossing wedding earlier this summer. Plus, I had my own wedding there this year as well! Sara and I clearly had similar wedding aesthetics. Not only did we choose the same venue, but we also had the same makeup artist and DJ. Shoutout to Day One DJ and Make Me Blush Artistry for being some of the best in the Minnesota wedding business! Sara and I also chose similar colors of bridesmaids dresses. Overall, I knew I could deliver what Sara liked in wedding photography, because we clearly had similar taste!

One major difference between my wedding day and Sara and Jake’s was the weather. While it poured rain all day for my Brackett’s Crossing wedding, Sara and Jake had the most beautiful day for theirs! It was sunny and 80 degrees out; perfect for their outdoor garden ceremony. While it was a bit windy out, it kept us nice and cool and didn’t affect the beauty of their wedding photos. Now, I know how to shoot at Brackett’s Crossing rain or shine, but sunny is always more fun and easy.

Sara and Jake filled their day with happiness and joyful tears. Jake cried pretty much all day, and it was the sweetest thing ever! This couple has been together for years, and you can tell they (and their families) were thrilled to finally make it official! Sara also chose a gorgeous, colorful color palette for their day. The bright, pastel blue bridesmaids dresses from Kennedy Blue and colorful floral by Amy Revak perfectly complemented the sunny day. These colors and florals just set a tone of happiness that everyone could feel throughout the day.

Sara and Jake, it was an honor to be your Brackett’s Crossing wedding photographer. It was truly an honor to capture your day. Congratulations to the Herdines, and check out some of my favorite shots below.
