Ali and Eric’s Wayzata engagement photos were some of my favorites of the season. Sunshine, fall colors, and a beautiful setting all made for a session to remember!
We shot Ali and Eric’s engagement pictures at Wayzata Beach. This is one of my favorite photo locations in the Twin Cities for the fall. Not only does it feature great fall colors, but the waterfront views add a nice contrast to the trees. There is a lot of variety in a small area, which is always ideal for any session!
These two were total troopers throughout our very windy session. Beach locations are always a little breezy, but we fought 30-40 mile per hour winds this day! I tried my best to keep Ali and Eric blocked from the wind where we could, but they also just embraced it. You can’t control every factor for your photo session, especially when it comes to weather. Luckily, these two were willing to power through, because the lighting on this day was excellent!
Eric and Ali opted to bring 3 different outfits for their session to provide the most variety. I can shoot a lot of photos in one hour, so the more variety in outfits, the better! I’d always prefer my clients have options! It worked especially well for these Wayzata engagement photos because, despite being fall, we still had very warm weather! It was perfect, because we got to embrace outfits from a variety of seasons.
I have to give a huge thank you again to Ali and Eric for letting me capture these images and for trusting me to make a windy day look elegant. I can’t wait to celebrate their wedding at The Minikahda Club this upcoming spring! For now, enjoy some of my favorites from this autumn day in Wayzata.
