It was an honor to be a part of Courtney and Gerald’s wedding at Urban Daisy Events. This day was full of sentiment and tears and so much laughter. Courtney has such a contagious, fun, positive energy and Gerald perfectly balances her with his calm, collected demeanor. These two were just the kindest souls, and it was so much fun to celebrate them.
My favorite part of this Urban Daisy wedding was the color palette. While black will forever be a popular wedding choice, I loved how Courtney and Gerald wove in rich autumn colors with their florals. It brought a unique twist on the black and white wedding color palette that modernized the look. This modern look also complemented the modern industrial space of Urban Daisy. Between the disco ball wall and large swings next to the dance floor, Urban Daisy Events is the perfect space for a fun, unforgettable wedding day.
While the weather was a little overcast, it brought out the rich autumn leaves on the trees, and allowed us to get some quintessential fall photos in the back lot of the venue. These outdoor shots are some of my favorite of the day, and they really make the magenta in the bouquets pop!
I was fortunate to help capture this day alongside Malorie Jane Photography. Malorie is close friends with the bride, Courtney, and served as both a photographer and bridesmaid. Therefore, in order to achieve all of her duties on the day of, she brought me in to shoot with her as an associate. I don’t always share associate work here, but I just loved this venue and wedding so much, I could help myself. So thank you, Malorie, for asking me to help you out!
