The Grand Ballroom at Joliet Union Station Wedding

I am so excited to share images with you from Kristen and Connor’s beautiful wedding at The Grand Ballroom at Joliet Union Station! It is a photographer’s dream to travel and capture weddings in all kinds of places! When Kristen contacted me asking if I would be willing to travel to Chicago-area for her big day, I immediately jumped at the opportunity. Destination wedding photography has always interested me, and Chicago is such an amazing destination to visit and photograph!

Kristen and Connor were supposed to get married in 2020, but the pandemic had other plans. They postponed their large celebration out a year, but decided to still tie the knot with a small group on their original date. Luckily, I was able to make their new date work around my existing 2021 schedule. I shot a wedding on the Friday before their Grand Ballroom at Joliet Union Station wedding and immediately hit the road to get down to Chicago. My sister lives in Illinois, so I used this trip as an excuse to see her as well.

The bride, Kristen, and I were in the same sorority in college. Some of Kristen’s bridesmaids were fellow Gamma Phi Beta sorority sisters, so it was a blast getting to reunite! I love having the opportunity to capture friends’ most important days. It is truly such an honor. Plus, after I’m off duty, I get to dance the night away with old friends.
