Amy and Joe’s studio engagement session was seriously a blast! These two traveled from Milwaukee to the Twin Cities for the weekend to shoot their engagement photos before their wedding in Hastings, Minnesota this summer. Unfortunately, the weekend they visited was one of the coldest, rainiest weekends this spring! We had 72 hours straight of thunderstorms and highs of 45-50 degrees! Needless to say, an outdoor session would have been complicated. We opted for a simple, in-studio session instead, and I absolutely love how these photos turned out. Since we didn’t need to walk around to various locations, our shoot was quick and efficient and full of laughs. Joe is a true comedian, giving me some genuine laughter to capture which left me smiling behind my camera too!
I met Amy while she was a bridesmaid in Alissa and Jordon’s wedding last summer. When she reached out to me asking if I would shoot their wedding, I was THRILLED! I remembered how cute Amy and Joe were on the dance floor at Alissa and Jordon’s wedding, and now they are engaged! Alissa will now be one of Amy’s bridesmaids, so it will be one big reunion! I’m so excited to capture Amy and Joe’s special day at Dakota Pines Golf Club in Hastings this August!
