Ellie’s Stone Arch Bridge senior session was one of my favorite senior sessions to date! Not only was the weather and setting gorgeous, but Ellie was simply the sweetest. Oh, and she was incredibly photogenic too! We took her photos on one of the hottest evenings of the summer, yet Ellie still managed to look #flawless the entire time! Ellie will graduate from Spectrum High School in spring of 2020, but she’s already attending college full-time at Bethel University in the fall to get a leg-up on her coursework. How amazing is that?!
Ellie was referred to me by the amazing Brooke Elisabeth Photography, who we just so happened to run into at Stone Arch Bridge shooting her own senior session! What a small world! It’s no wonder photographers flock to this spot, though. There is so much variety in a small area, which is perfect for a senior session. When scouting out locations for senior shoots I look for two many things: variety and accessibility. I want locations to be easy to reach, both in driving distance and walking to the actual shooting locations themselves. When looking for variety, I want multiple spots with good light and a good mix of nature and urban backgrounds to help create some interest in their final gallery. This area of Minneapolis has all of these requirements and more! That’s why this Stone Arch Bridge senior session is one of my all-time favorites!
Ellie and her mom, Annie, and I had a blast just strutting up and down Minneapolis. From the Guthrie Theater to Mill Ruins Park, we found so many fantastic spots to shoot. These two made me feel like part of the family immediately – I just had such a great night! Check out some of my favorites from our evening below!
