Wellness-Themed Event Styled Shoot

This wellness-themed spring bridal shower styled shoot gave me all the heart eyes! When Julia from Great Day Events asked me if I wanted to photograph this amazing, styled spring bridal shower, I immediately jumped at the chance! Styled shoots are such a great opportunity to build your portfolio and collaborate with other vendors in the industry. Most wedding vendors choose to do styled shoots focused on weddings, but I loved Julia’s idea of putting together a styled bridal shower to show that even the “smaller” events in your wedding journey don’t have to be boring!

Our venue for this wellness-inspired styled shoot was The Holden Room. Connected to the amazing Parallel Cafe, The Holden Room is trendy and industrial, but still cozy and welcoming. The show stopper of this shoot was definitely the table setting put together by Great Day Events, Alcove Floral, La Tavola Fine Linen, and Hennepin Made. The bright colors, luscious florals, and velvet accents were the stuff of photographers’ dreams! If you know me, you know I love a pop of color, so I could not stop snapping photos of this table! Another weakness of mine is macaroons. I had to hold myself back all day from eating these adorable, delicate sweets from Sugardust and Sprinkles!

After I captured the details and setup of this gorgeous bridal shower, it was time for the bride and her bridesmaids to arrive! Bride Rachel had the most wonderful bride squad, and the day was filled with laughs and hugs. The bridal shower started with a community circle where the girls wrote down advice and well wishes for the bride and groom. This sweet gesture was the perfect way to set the tone for the day. Then, they did a brief yoga session led by Wedded Wellness. Rachel and her bridesmaids had never done yoga before, but they were total troopers! Plus, none of these girls were models or had ever been a part of a styled shoot. They were naturals all-around!
