Tessa is just drop dead gorgeous. This girl totally rocked her senior pictures in Minneapolis. From her hair and makeup to her outfit choices to her easy posing, Tessa completely nailed it. Future seniors, take note. Tessa is the perfect example of how to look natural, yet elevated for your senior photo session.
Senior Pictures in Minneapolis, MN
We shot Tessa’s photos on the most gorgeous early fall day. September is truly one of my favorite months for to shoot senior pictures in Minneapolis. The temperature works to wear both summer and fall outfits. It’s not crazy warm. You also get just a touch of that golden glow in the trees, but they aren’t fully orange yet. It all just comes together perfectly. Tessa booked with me later in the year, so I squeezed her in on a night where I already had another senior booked. I am so glad this worked out, because we truly created some magic.
This location in Minneapolis is great for senior girls. You may recognize it from other blog posts of senior pictures at Stone Arch Bridge. It has color variety as well as lots of places to sit and lean, which helps provide posing variety. Tessa is a dancer, and I could immediately tell when we started to pose. She knew how to give me asymmetrical posing and to really relax into a pose. Her movement and natural comfort in front of the camera made my job easy!
Hair & Makeup for Senior Pictures
Tessa did her own makeup, and it was perfect. All my seniors tell me they want to look “natural” for their photos. However, what looks “natural” yet pretty in photos actually requires a lot more makeup than you would wear on a daily basis. Tessa added just the right amount of eye makeup to make her stunning blue eyes pop.
Her outfit choices were also spot-on. I usually recommend seniors wear at least one outfit with jeans and at least one dressy look. Tessa chose an adorable long sleeve crop top to pair with jeans, a cute two-piece floral outfit, and a white dress that was perfect for twirling! We got so much variety in her looks and colors. Speaking of colors, these are the perfect colors for senior pictures. There’s color and dimension without them being too bright. Pure perfection!
