Engagements

November 6, 2020

Greta and Peter really are a perfect match. These two had me laughing all evening while I shot their engagement photos in Saint Paul. Greta and Peter love Saint Paul, so we knew we needed to shoot their engagement session around some of Saint Paul’s hot spots. We started our evening in Rice Park by the Landmark Center and the James J. Hill Library. I absolutely love this spot, and we lucked out with the most beautiful weather in late September. Some of my favorite images from their Saint Paul engagement photos are in Rice Park!

We then moved over to Como Regional Park to end their autumn engagement session. Como is a huge park in Saint Paul, with everything from a zoo, conservatory and botanical garden, to a restaurant and butterfly garden. There is so much variety, and the backgrounds make for a classy, elevated nature backdrop. The fall colors were in full force too, making for the most gorgeous engagement session location.

What you may not know is, this engagement session was a long time coming. Greta and I used to work together, and we have stayed in touch despite our changes in career paths. Greta and I have been talking about me shooting her wedding “someday” for years now. As soon as Peter proposed this summer, I knew to expect a call. Sure enough, Greta and I immediately began discussing venue options, bridesmaid dress colors, and everything in between. It’s so fun to go through the planning process with not only a client but a close friend! Greta and Peter will tie the knot next November at The Broz, and I’m so excited to capture all the romantic, cozy vibes of a November wedding. In the meantime, enjoy some highlights from Greta and Peter’s Saint Paul engagement photos below.
