Annalise and Drew are the kind of couple I dream to work with. Sweet, joyful, personable, humble…they are just good people. When Annalise inquired with me for their Royal Golf Club wedding and engagement photos and booked, I was truly blown away. I thought, how lucky am I to have this gorgeous couple choose me to capture their day?!

These two are meant to be together. The way they look at each other and make one another laugh is just so sweet. We took their engagement photos on one of the hottest, most humid days of summer last year, but they were total troopers. Luckily, their wedding day was much more comfortable.

Royal Club Wedding Day

Drew and Annalise tied the knot at Royal Golf Club, a gorgeous, all-white venue in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. I absolutely love photographing at country clubs for their classic, timeless feel. Royal Golf Club also features a stunning outdoor ceremony space right by the water. Since Annalise and Drew’s wedding day was slightly overcast, it created perfect, even lighting to capture the fall colors reflecting on the water. It was perfect. Days like this should serve as a reminder to brides that overcast is not bad on your wedding day! In fact, it can sometimes be more ideal for mid-day photos!

Annalise and her bridesmaids got ready at the Royal Club in their adorable bridal suite. Her bride squad was such a blast. Annalise and her sister, Katie, are super tight, so I made sure to squeeze in some extra portrait time for them throughout the day. Once it was time for Annalise and Drew’s first look is when the emotions really hit. Drew’s reaction to Annalise may be my favorite first look ever. I would be lying if I said I didn’t tear up behind my camera. The love between these two is palpable, and it was so obvious throughout the day.

The couple’s first dance was another stand-out moment to me. Annalise and Drew were just so connected and in their own world for that moment. Their chemistry was obvious, and you could just feel the love and support from their friends and family around them. They constantly made my job so easy, because they are just so natural and comfortable with each other.

Over the past year and a half, I’ve come to love these two as more than just clients. They’ve truly turned into friends, and their Royal Club wedding was as beautiful, sweet, and fun as they are. Congratulations to the Lynchs! I can’t wait to keep celebrating you two in the years to come.
