Baby Gwen’s in-studio newborn photos are on the blog today! The natural light in this studio was so beautiful, and the perfect way to document this gorgeous little girl.
Gwen’s parents, Olivia and Jeremiah are some of my favorite wedding couples. These two have come back to me over and over to document their lives and have referred me to so many of their family and friends. I’m so thankful for their friendship and support over the years, and I was so excited when they told me they were expecting.
Why Choose a Studio for Newborn Photos?
We shot these newborn photos in Studio Luna in Northeast Minneapolis. It’s a great, centrally located spot with beautiful light. I love shooting newborn photos in a studio for so many reasons.
First, studios have beautiful light. While it may be more convenient to shoot your newborn photos in your home, some homes just don’t have the bright, beautiful light I love to have to showcase your newest addition. Studios are literally built with lighting in mind, so it guarantees we can have that glowy, beautiful setting to capture your newborn photos.
Second, you don’t have to clean! I don’t know about you, but my house was chaos after having my son. We were in survival mode and just getting by. Our house was far from photo-ready! A studio allows for a clean, gorgeous space for photos without any added stress. Yes, you may need to pack a few more things, but I think it’s overall an easier option.
Bring the Whole Family
Olivia and Jeremiah also wanted to incorporate their first “baby” in their session – their pup, Poppy! Luckily there are various pet-friendly studios in the area that allow families to bring everyone along. I love the photos with Gwen and Poppy together. Dogs and babies just make my heart melt!
Without further ado, here are some of my favorites from this sweet family’s studio newborn photos.
