I’m so excited to share baby Ruby’s newborn photos! As a Minnesota newborn photographer, finding great studio spaces to photograph is imperative. I was so fortunate to stumble upon Studio 410 in Lester Prairie, Minnesota, because my clients live far out west. There aren’t many studios in this area, but Studio 410 happened to be a great halfway point for my client and me!
Ruby’s dad, Benny, and I go way back. We met in high school and then attended Iowa State University together. (Peep Ruby’s ISU sneakers in her pictures!) We both were active in Greek life there and ran in the same circles. Fast forward a few years, and we both welcomed our first children within 3 months of each other! It was so fun to catch up getting to capture this milestone for him and his wife, Ashley, as they welcomed their first baby together.
I love that Ashley and Benny (and Ruby!) selected very neutral outfits for their newborn photos. When it comes to newborn photography, I love allowing the baby to be the focus. Therefore, keeping the wardrobe neutral makes the little baby pop against the backdrop and gives the photos a dreamy quality. Little Ruby was such a great little model for her session. She slept sweetly, and then woke up to model right at the camera! It was truly precious.
