Rachael and JR’s Minneapolis Marriott wedding in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota was an absolute blast! Rachael and I connected because we share an aunt and uncle. She is my uncle’s sister’s daughter. Anyone have any guesses on what you would call our relation? It has me stumped! Regardless, I am so glad my aunt connected us, so I connected with this wonderful couple!
Rachael and JR got married on the most beautiful, sunny day in early June at the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest. Their bright blue and pastel details made for the perfect spring palette. They held the ceremony in the hotel’s stunning lobby and then moved to the hotel’s ballroom for the reception. These two were seriously the most ideal couple to work with! They are so in love, so genuinely happy, and sweet as pie. JR could not stop twirling his bride and tearing up from sheer happiness. My second shooter, Katherine Bowes, and I could not stop talking about this adorable couple.
On top of that, Rachael and JR’s wedding party was so wonderful and supportive. Three of Rachael’s four bridesmaids are pregnant, so we had some fun with their bridesmaid pictures. These ladies threw the cutest Friends-themed bachelorette party for Rachael, complete with a “The One where Rachael Gets Married” tagline. I’m obsessed, and I may just have to copy this theme when my time comes around!
At the reception, I sat at a table with my aunt, uncle, cousins, and some other extended family. We had a blast, and laughed so hard we cried at JR’s amazing speech. Their dessert table was a dream – complete with gourmet cupcakes and an individual cake for the wedding party with the cutest cake topper I’ve ever seen. I felt so much love between all of the guests at this Minneapolis Marriott wedding, and I feel so privileged to have been a part of it.
