I had so much fun shooting this Holz Farm senior session with David, a Rosemount High School senior. I often get the question, “Do you shoot boys?” This question always makes me laugh, but I understand. 90% of my senior clients are girls! However, this makes it all the more fun when I get a senior guy in front of my camera!
Holz Farm is a best-kept secret location in Eagan, MN. It’s a historical farmstead kept up by city volunteers and occasionally the house and barns are open to the public! This spot is nestled in a suburban neighborhood, but is completely beautiful and charming. There are tons of great nooks and crannies for shooting, and this park is always quiet. If you have never been there, I recommend you check it out.
David was an ideal senior client! This handsome dude was laid back, all smiles, and a total natural in front of the camera. He totally rocked the “GQ magazine cover” poses that I coach senior boys through, and I love how they turned out! Like most of my senior boy clients, David opted for a one-hour session. I always recommend my one-hour “Minimalist” package to boys who may not care to choose multiple outfits or can’t smile for two hours! The Minimalist package is perfect for the laidback senior boy! Despite shooting for half the time of a normal senior session, David and I were able to get great variety and shots at his Holz Farm senior session. Check out some of my favorites below!
