Hairstylist Branding Shoot

Brands

February 19, 2024

I’m so excited to feature my latest branding shoot on the blog today! When Caroline inquired about a lifestyle hair stylist photoshoot for her business, Mane Beauty Method, I was all in! She told me she wanted bright, crisp images with a white backdrop, which is totally my vibe. I knew Brooke Elisabeth Studio would be the perfect spot.

My branding sessions are specifically geared toward service-based businesses, and I specialize in working with creative entrepreneurs. I’ve shot branding sessions for hair and makeup artists, photographer, painters, and more. A branding session is perfect for businesses lots of visual content for their website, blog, or social media posts. These sessions aren’t just focused on head shots, but on images of businesses “in action” showing off specific pieces of their work. That’s why I love these sessions! They are all so different and I get to be creative!

Rather than headshots of herself, Caroline really wanted her hair stylist photoshoot to focus on hair models to show her work. I loved this idea! Our models, Callyn Noelle, and Kiran absolutely nailed it. Their diverse hair colors and styles really popped against the white backdrop. I loved that they kept the wardrobe neutral in order to make their beautiful faces and hair the focus.

Caroline brought tons of props to add variety to her branding images. This is the best advice I can give anyone preparing for a branding shoot! More props and outfits is always better! Caroline brought:

  • Hand-tied extensions
  • Hair care products
  • Combs, brushes, and hair tools
  • Office supplies
  • Other fun props like a coffee mug and a vintage phone

That way, we capitalize on our time, giving you tons of variety so you have a year’s worth of social media posts! Not every image on your website should be of you; it’s so important to show all facets of a business.

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate Caroline trusting me to capture these and bring her vision to life. It was all such a fun and collaborative experience. Enjoy some of my favorites from this hairstylist branding shoot below.
