Gale Mansion Wedding

Katie and Brian’s Gale Mansion wedding took place on a gorgeous, warm May day in Minneapolis. It was Memorial weekend, the sun was shining, and everyone was so excited to finally celebrate this sweet couple. They actually got married in a small ceremony in May of 2020, but a large celebration wasn’t in the cards with the pandemic in full force. After two postponements and two years of marriage, Katie and Brian finally had their traditional wedding day!

Gale Mansion is a stunning historic venue in the heart of Minneapolis. Nestled next to a park and the Minneapolis Institute of Art, there is no shortage of interesting backdrops and surroundings. However, I didn’t need to walk far to find gorgeous backgrounds for their photos. The outside of the mansion is stunning. With stunning balconies and windows, along with fresh lilacs and peonies on the ground, it was a photographer’s dream! When it came to capturing Katie and Brian’s wedding day, I wanted to lean in to the historic setting as much as possible.

Katie and Brian met on Bumble, and it was literally love at first sight. Brian went to his best friend (and best man, Nick) after their first date and said, “I’m going to marry this girl.” He was absolutely correct. They moved in together after only a few months of dating, and it’s obvious why. These two have amazing chemistry. I barely ever had to pose them, because they just naturally snuggle together when they’re around each other. They made my job of capturing their love incredibly easy!

The entirety of Katie and Brian’s Gale Mansion wedding was filled with laughter and love. Instead of walking down the aisle, everyone danced. The ceremony and speeches were emotional with tears and giggles throughout. This couple is clearly deeply in love, but also don’t take themselves too seriously. They shared intimate moments, but then tore up the dance floor with their family and friends. It was truly the perfect balance of sweetness and seriousness – a testament to a strong and successful marriage!
