Door County Wedding Photographer

I am so thankful to Libby and Elliott for allowing me to be a Door County wedding photographer for a weekend and return to one of my favorite places! These two tied the knot in an intimate waterfront ceremony at Gordon Lodge in Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin. Libby’s sister, Sharon, officiated the ceremony, and the forty guests gathered in a converted boathouse for a candlelit dinner in the evening. It was so special to be a part of!

Libby and I met in college at Iowa State University where we were both studying to be English teachers. While neither of us are now using our teaching degrees, I am thankful that our paths crossed all those years ago! When Libby reached out to me to ask if I would be willing to shoot her and Elliott’s wedding in Door County, Wisconsin, I immediately jumped at the chance! Not only did this wedding allow me to reconnect with an old friend, but I also got to reconnect with a place that’s special to me!

I grew up visiting Door County every summer throughout my childhood. My grandparents owned a condo in Egg Harbor, so we would visit every year! Before Libby and Elliott’s wedding it, had been about twelve years since I’d been back! Since the wedding was on Labor Day weekend, my husband and I made a vacation of the weekend and spent time reliving some of my favorite childhood spots!
