Rush Creek Golf Club in Maple Grove, Minnesota is the kind of venue that genuinely takes your breath away. From the stone exterior and summer gardens bursting with color to the grand staircase inside, every corner of this place is made for moments that matter. This was my first time shooting here, and I can say with full confidence it will not be my last.

Why Rush Creek Golf Club Is One of Minnesota’s Best Wedding Venues

First things first: Rush Creek is fully all-inclusive. For couples, that means less coordinating and more space to simply enjoy the process. The MacMillan Ballroom anchors the entire experience. Vaulted ceilings, two stone fireplaces, and panoramic windows overlooking the golf course create a room that feels both elevated and warmly Minnesota. It brings the outdoors in without compromising an ounce of elegance.

Outside, the venue continues to impress. Stone walls, an arched entryway, and manicured gardens provide portrait backdrops that need no enhancement. Whether you are stealing a quiet first look by the stone facade or gathering your whole crew for wedding party photos, the setting does the work.

A Love Story Worth Every Year of Waiting

I have to be honest: I knew this wedding was going to be something special before it even started. Bridget and Caleb have been each other’s people since high school. They chose to wait until Bridget finished PT school before getting engaged, and when their day finally arrived, I could feel how much it meant. What makes their story even more meaningful to me personally is how I met them. Both Bridget and Caleb were in the wedding parties of two separate couples I had photographed before. So when I saw their names in my inbox as the couple, my heart was so full. Watching them step into the spotlight after years of cheering others on is something I will carry with me for a long time.

The Details That Made the Day

Getting ready started with the girls in matching blue striped sets, laughing and leaning into every moment. Bridget’s lace ballgown was elegant and timeless, and her bouquet of white roses, lisianthus, and blue delphinium set the palette for the entire day. Caleb looked sharp and calm in a steel blue suit, every bit the groom she deserved.

Their first look happened outside against the stone facade, quiet and emotional in the best possible way. Portraits around the grounds followed naturally, and the grand interior staircase became one of my favorite backdrops of the afternoon. Inside the MacMillan Ballroom, soft floral centerpieces, blue linen napkins, and warm candlelight against those stone fireplaces made for a reception that felt alive with warmth. The Planning and Project Co. kept everything running beautifully, and Flowers by Michelle Hutchinson brought the floral vision together flawlessly.

“Having Rachel as our wedding photographer was a dream come true! My husband and I have both been in weddings she photographed, so it was a no brainer as to who we wanted to photograph our wedding. She is truly the best of the best, professional, organized, extremely talented, and has a heart of gold. Rachel kept the day running so smoothly and captured every memorable moment! We felt so at ease and comfortable with her, the best hype woman ever! My jaw was on the floor when I saw all of our sneak peeks, and it fell further to the floor when our entire album came so quickly! Could not recommend Rachel enough, she is the BEST!” — Bridget + Caleb Paulson
